More and more people are starting to leave the office to work from home.

Some are continuing as full-time employees with their original employer, while working from home. This has the advantage of eliminating traveling time (which is often lost time for commuters) and allowing much more freedom in choosing exactly which hours you work.

For those industries where this is possible, this has been a great advantage for employees who want to spend more time with their families.

But, for many, this is not possible...

For many of us, our "day job" has been in an industry where there is no option of taking the work home and send it in to the office by internet, fax or mail.

For us, the only option is to look for an alternative industry, where we can start out part-time, building some extra income, with the plan to, in time, replace our full-time income, so that we can "fire the boss" and work full-time from home.

I decided to start this process.

The first target I set for myself was to match my full-time income with my part-time income... working only a few hours a week on this Home Business.

Before long, my next goal was to earn twice my full-time income from my small part-time venture at home...

I soon realised that I had my day job to make my living,
but I had my part-time home business making my fortune...

Of course, I did make mistakes along the way, but I quickly learned from those, and developed a system to run my first Home Business almost on autopilot, while I then developed my second "little part-time business"...

At first, my friends and family thought I was kidding when I told them what I wanted to do. Then when they could see how serious I was, they thought I was crazy!

But when they started to see how sucessful I was becoming, they changed their minds - well - most of them did. Some people are just too closed-minded to see the truth when it is staring them in the face.

Then, slowly, they really started to come around...

"Trevor," they said, "Can you teach me how to do this?"

"How do I decide what sort of Home Business to get in to?"

"Is there a book I can read?"

"How do I get it started?"

I spent a lot of time trying to explain how to choose a business to become involved in, and then how to get started, and what to do first, then second, then....

I ended up spending so much time showing my friends and family what to do, that I had no time to take care of my own businesses. This was a great lesson.

But the real lesson came when thay started to ask -

"Will you build it for me?"

That was it...

No more!

"Figure it out for yourselves - the same way I did!"

OK - that was a bit harsh...

But what was I to do?

How was I going to help all of these people and still keep my sanity,
my own business and some time with my loved ones?

And that's when I realised that I needed a book for them to read to get started, then some regular instruction on what to do, how to do it and when to do it, to build their own home businesses.

I knew that I had learned a lot, and that I was a very capable teacher.
I could also help them to avoid the mistakes I had made.

I could prepare a book!

...and follow up with regular lessons by email, and through a website!

So that was the beginning of this project.
